'People are fearful' - the reasons 'juggernaut' Arsenal have become the squad everyone fears.

The proof is unmistakable why Arsenal stand as many people's favorites to secure the Premier League during this term.

Examine their performances against Newcastle and Crystal Palace versus those equivalent matches last season.

The Gunners have defeated all of them in the current season, but dropped 10 points across those games as they dropped off in the title race previously.

Impenetrable Rearguard

Arsenal's defensive strength is a primary factor why they are seeming ready to ultimately achieve their title ambition.

They rank top for clean sheets (6), shots let in (3), attempts against (72), quality opportunities against (19) and anticipated concessions (5.3).

The defensive partnership of Gabriel and William Saliba is arguably the finest in the league, with Arsenal keeping a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Dead-Ball Dominance

Their effectiveness from free kicks is widely recognized, but competing clubs still struggle to stop the Gunners from these opportunities.

They have registered 11 times from set-pieces in the league, a couple extra than any other side, with 69% of their goals originating from these situations.

"Arsenal can do a bit of everything now. The whole team has a daunting aura. People are just wary of them and it is wonderful to see."

Championship Claims

What is even more remarkable about Arsenal's start to the campaign is they have also encountered Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United away from home and Manchester City in their own stadium - and are still ahead by four points at the top.

While they keep winning, their traditional rivals aren't faring so well. This marks the premier instance at this point of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The expectations was on head coach Mikel Arteta at the start, having invested around £250m on eight summer additions in search of that long-awaited first title since 2004.

But the business has so far yielded results in style, with his side second top scorers in the league and boasting the tightest defense, despite numerous injuries.

  • Shutouts in each of their last three Premier League games
  • 385 minutes without allowing a goal
  • Only a trio of goals in 12 games across various contests

Former players and analysts have labeled Arteta's men as a "juggernaut, looking hard to stop" with the whole club now operating with belief and determination.
